# Kasumi Hourai After receiving basic instruction from the legendary Akechi Denki aged just 20, Kasumi Hourai went on to establish her own bondage studio in her hometown of Nagoya 4 years later. She has previously had connections to both Kinoko Hajime and Akira Naka, and has been a regular performer at Yoi Yoshida’s Onna Matsuri (women’s rope bondage festival). Kasumi’s style is mesmerizingly feminine, and she brings highly ritual Otemae–ceremony style artistry into her Shibari, defining subtle and delicate eroticism and sadism. Well known in the west, Kasumi has been teaching workshops and 1–on–1 instruction internationally since 2014.
